Teacher Programs
MOCA Jacksonville is an educational institution that promotes art enrichment by providing resources for area teachers and educators. The Museum invites teachers and students to learn more about contemporary art by touring our permanent and visiting exhibitions. We also provide teachers with special curricula to help infuse art into their classroom. MOCA Jacksonville celebrates teachers and educators by providing special programming, educator memberships, art educator exhibitions, and excellence in teaching awards.
2009-10 First Coast Portfolio: A Juried Art Educators Exhibition
Each year MOCA invites art educators practicing in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties to submit work for consideration in the annual First Coast Portfolio Juried Exhibition. This year’s exhibition of juried works will be on display in The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida Education Gallery November 21st, 2010 – January 30, 2011.
First Coast Portfolio is an annual exhibition designed to showcase the latest works by art educators currently employed and teaching in public and independent schools (including charter, alternative, private and parochial settings) in the First Coast counties. Teachers share their creative talents with the next generation; as artists MOCA encourages those teachers to share their artistic talents with our community.
Jurors will be announced late Spring 2010
