LECTURE: What-and When-Were the 1960s?
Thursday, Feb. 9 • 7 p.m.
David Courtwright, a UNF historian who teaches and writes about America in the 1960s, will present a slide lecture on the significance and chronology of the decade. He will identify its key personalities and unifying themes, inquire when it began and when it ended, consider whether it was an American or international phenomenon, and explore the ways in which historians have used (or neglected to use) the art of the 1960s to interpret the decade.
